Gorzkie Żale (Bitter Lamentations)

Sundays at 2:00 pm

Please join us for our penitential devotions, as we kneel at the foot of the Cross. "You must accept your cross. If you bear it courageously, it will carry you to heaven." - St. John Vianney

Stations of the Cross

The Stations of the Cross are a beautiful and traditional Lenten devotion. The devotion consists of meditating on 14 events which took place during Christ’s Passion, from His being condemned to His burial.  We use the time-honored meditations written by St. Alphonsus Liguori (A.D. 1696-1787).

Stations of the Cross are offered each Friday in Lent at 6:00 pm at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, followed by Holy Mass.

Gorzkie Żale

Gorzkie Żale (Bitter Lamentations) is a devotion where hymns are chanted in long lyrical laments of the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ and the sorrows of His Mother.  Each of the three sections contemplates a particular moment from the Passion of Our Lord, and ends with an invocation asking for Christ's mercy.

Gorzkie Żale takes place each Sunday in Lent at 2:00 pm at Sts. Peter and Paul Church.
